Thank you for visiting the website of the Frank Gu Research Group! We are a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team of graduate and undergraduate researchers working under the supervision of Dr. Frank Gu, based out of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. The main research focus of our lab is at the interface of nanoscience and pharmaceutical technology, applying nanotechnology engineering design principles to nanomedicine, ophthalmology, clean water, and photocatalysis.
Technology goes back millions of years, from which the first humans learned how to create fire and make weapons for hunting. It has assisted us and has even helped us conquer other civilizations. Medicine is not as old as technology itself,. But, it has also helped humans to live longer. Technology in medicine has rid humanity of certain natural diseases. That were once common, now are obsolete. Many times the two have been used side by side, for instance, some of.
